Hey there!

I’m JENNA ERICKSON Founder & Lead Travel Ambassador for OPEN AIR PLACES.

Most days you can find me working from home in Wisconsin’s ninth largest city, where I live with my two (teen & preteen) children surrounded by plants and paintings.  You’ll also find me travelling around the world for site-visits to research new and unique places to stay. I am mostly known for my expert retreat planning skills (500+ retreats and still counting!) and my vibrantly colored artwork.

I love serving the world by sharing Unique Places TO STAY where artists can regenerate and be inspired.  I am passionate about nurturing the creative process in myself and others, and embracing authenticity.

I work with people who use their energy to create, and who want to plan micro-lifestyle breaks where they can stay at a distinctive place, and be rejuvenated and creatively inspired.  Artists and creative entrepreneurs who appreciate the art of living well are my tribe. I feel lucky to show them new places and experiences that fill their creative cup!

When I’m not highlighting unique places to stay or coordinating retreats, you can catch me trying new recipes or adding layers on a new large-scale painting in my studio.

I'll leave you with 5 things that may help you get to know me even more.

  • I use lists every day to structure my time which is my secret for maintaining a healthy work/life balance

  • I value my daily yoga practice which has helped me immensely with my chronic neck pain

  • One of my favorite things to do is to make delicious and beautiful food for the people I love.  I recently published my debut cookbook, LUNCH BOUQUETS, which is available on amazon.com.

  • My newest series of paintings are about Islands, and I’m really enjoying the process.

  • My Perfect Day would include espresso coffee and a photography retreat experience where I can immerse myself in image-making.

Still here?  Let’s connect!  You can continue the conversation with me by opting into my email list below, or following me on Instagram at @openairplaces.
